After sitting all day in school, kids need to move their bodies and use their minds in a different sort of way. MAX After School offers a huge, ever-changing variety of activities designed to help kids build lifelong healthy habits, discover new interests, form strong friendships, and have a whole lot of fun along the way. 

When the bell rings our trained and dedicated staff are there to meet the children. After school pick up and transportation to MAX is provided. We are open during PD days, early dismissals and kindergarten closures.

Our programming is developed and led by professionals in Early Childhood Education, Recreation and Physical Education. Each and every day we focus on movement and physical activity through sports, non-competitive games, free play and daily outside programming.

To inquire about space within our after school program submit a pre-application form today! 

In a few easy steps you could have your space secured. Once an application is submitted someone from our Management team will follow up within 3 business days to confirm the status of your request. If space is available, you will have the opportunity to confirm enrollment. If space wasn't available you will be added to the waitlist. 

2024-2025 AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM PRE-REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Any open spots available after returning clients register in April will be offered to waitlist clients in order.

Dates and deadlines TBD and posted here when set. We expect all the same after school sites above to be in use again for the 2024-25 school year.

2024-25 REGISTRATION DATES

• Current after school program clients: March 15th-31st.
• Waitlisted clients: April 8th-14th.
• Open to everyone: April 17th onwards.

2024-25 PRICING

• $23 per day for one child with transportation ($20 per day without transportation). We offer a 10% siblings discount off the second child and 20% off the third child.
• Macdonald Drive Junior High is a licensed site under the Government of NL Operating Grant. After School Program fees are $4/day. Unfortunately, no other sites are licensed (eligible for Government funding) at this time. 
• $100 non-refundable deposit per child. 

2024-25 AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM INFORMATION

• Servicing 13 schools across St. John's, Mount Pearl, Paradise & CBS for children currently attending Kindergarten to Grade 6.
• Groups are formed based on children's needs, personalities and age. Each group is capped at 26 children.
• Excellent staff to child ratios that exceeds the Provincial Guidelines (1 staff to every 13 children or less).
• Trained and qualified staff who are dedicated and caring. Each staff requires a current First Aid certification and a cleared criminal record & vulnerable sector checks. 
• Site supervisors on location at all times. 
• Open all PD days, early dismissals and Kindergarten closure days. Exclusive to current after school program clients.
